A Matter of Hope
A Matter of Hope: A FUNdraiser for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation
A Matter of Hope is deeply personal to me. I started it in honor of my late husband, Matt, who fought Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare, aggressive cancer, with incredible courage and love during the 11 months he had with us following his diagnosis. His spirit continues to guide everything I do, and this organization is my way of keeping his memory alive while helping others facing this disease and families seeking the hope we so desperately needed.
Through our yearly event, we’ve been able to raise almost $90,000, all donated directly to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. These events are more than your average fundraiser. They’re about community, connection, and celebrating life even in hard moments, just like Matt did.
Why I Do This
Cholangiocarcinoma is rare, and there are limited treatments, leaving families feeling lost and alone. I wanted to do something that honors Matt, yes, but also gives hope to others going through this, while building a community that reminds people they are not facing it alone.
Through A Matter of Hope, we aim to:
- Create events that bring people together, have fun, and celebrate life
- Fund meaningful research and clinical trials
- Raise awareness for Cholangiocarcinoma
How You Can Be Part of This
Every dollar raised from our annual fundraiser goes directly to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, supporting research and patient programs.
Even though our last event was in 2022, we’re excited to share that another event is on the horizon for 2026! Keep an eye here for updates and sneak peeks! More info to come!
