Baby Registry Advice and Bumpdate: 26 Weeks Pregnant
Hello friends and happy fall! Can you believe it’s fall already? I’ve always deemed myself a “summer” girl. I enjoy the hot weather, outdoor dining, and social nature of summer. But man, at 26 weeks pregnant, this lady has never been MORE ready for sweater weather and legging season. For all you mamas out there that endure the 3rd trimester in the heat of the summer, I bow down to you. Speaking of which SIX MONTHS. That means only three months (god-willing) left until we get to meet the Pistachio. I mentioned this in a recent post, but for the past month or so, I feel like the “preggo-planning” has…

Do you even Pumpkin?
Happy, happy Thursday. One more day til the weekend and, not sure about your weather situation, but it’s finally starting to feel like fall over here in Maryland. And what better way to celebrate fall than with pumpkins! Ironically, and this goes out to all my basics out there, it’s National Pumpkin Day! Even if you’re not into the whole PSL or pumpkin picking craze, you can’t deny that Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin is a classic. Don’t fight me on that one. So, naturally, I feel like it’s my duty to call some attention to some of the nutritional benefits of this little fall favorite. And if…

Fitting In Fitness: We All Start Somewhere
Hello peeps! Welcome to my first blog on my brand new website. I took a little bit of a breather from posting content while I made this switch. Bare with me while I work out the kinks. Progress, not perfection. You get the gist. Anyway, I realized that I have YET to really make a fitness post, which is kind of baffling to me. You see, fitness and/or activity is a huge part of my self-care routine, my anxiety-mediating efforts, and well…my life, in general. And for good reason. Putting aside the obvious weight management benefits, regular physical activity helps to prevent and/or manage scary diseases, like type 2 diabetes,…

Meal Prep Monday: Easy Meal Prep Tips from a Pro
After giving you a glimpse into my weekly grocery haul, I feel like it’s only appropriate to give you a few ideas as to what “meal prep” actually looks like for both Matt and I. As I mentioned yesterday, Sunday’s typically involve a walk around the neighborhood, football, grocery shopping...and meal prep.

HALL PASS: HOW TO GET BACK ON TRACK
And sometimes, life happens and you give yourself a hall pass. The important thing is: you get right back on track. Often, not being able to rise after falling is the BIGGEST obstacle preventing us from reaching our goals. Trust me, in the years I’ve spent working with clients, participating in challenge groups, and hey…the 30+ years I’ve been alive, I see it repeatedly. But instead of preaching on and on about this, I’m going to point out five ways to get back on track with whatever your goal may be

Tuesday Thoughts: Be THAT Person
It’s about to get real feels-y in this piece. I started this blog because, for some crazy reason, I think by sharing my story, my struggles, my triumphs, and my knowledge, I’ll be able to help someone. Maybe not directly…and maybe not immediately. But somehow, people will find resolution, motivation, a plan of action, or even just consolation knowing that they aren’t alone. It’s not easy opening up. In fact…it’s TERRIFYING. I kept a lot of the things I’ve struggled with bottled up and despite the fact 97.5% of the people I know probably caught on to a lot of it, I never openly discussed things. It was one thing…

Day 1: “Christina’s Carni-Light Challenge” Grocery Haul
know meal planning can seem a bit daunting, but it's really, really important, especially when starting something new. When everything is planned out, you're less likely to panic because "you don't have anything to eat and you're starving," you actually SAVE money on your weekly grocery list by limiting what you're purchasing to necessities, and you save time during the week by not having to spend hours figuring out what you're going to eat. I'd call all of that a win.

Taking a “Carni-Light” Challenge
My “challenge” will extend 30 days, starting on August 20th and ending on September 18th. This “challenge” is more of a tester…At the end of the 30 days, I’m going to re-evaluate, paying close attention to how my body is reacting to my new approach. I’ll be sharing recipes, check-ins, and tips leading up to and during the challenge.
